A walk arounf 'the hill" is a trip thought history. High points include Imaculata Church, a neo-gothic building built in 1859 to serve the German community, including my great-grandparents; 1023 Celestial Street, the finest example of Queen Ann Victorian archineture in Cincinnati; and the Rookwood pottery--the building if not the food.

Many restaurants, bars, shopping, grace this hilly area which is very reminiscent of San Francisco. There are nice views of Kentucky on the other side of the OHIO RIVER. There are views of the river itself, and from the Rookwood one can the HORSESHOE Cincinnati's new Casino

Don't miss the view from the top of the steps at Immaculata, and make sure you take a peek inside the church. If you like "funky" this are is one of Cincinnati's "funkiest." areas.

This is a very old section of Cincinnati and home to some great little bars. You have to search for a parking place or pay $5 to park at a local church. Great night life.

The view...that's the main attraction of Mount Adams. We visited in January, cold & colder!! so we didn't get in much walking. But if you have time to walk a bit, and visit on a day other than Monday when the Art Museum is open, I think it would be an enjoyable day. There are some pathways, benches, overlooks, and it appears activities during warm weather.
