We were in town for the Flying Pig Marathon and noticed the Cinco de Mayo celebrations happening. Really fun area, and the fountain is very impressive. I was born and raised near Cincinnati, and it is really good to see Fountain Square come back to life. There are a variety of restaurants and shops that have moved into this area in the last ten years. It is also close to different venues for the arts, religion, and sports.

Many "chain" restaurants. Good location if you are staying in downtown. Has some acticities. Check with posted notifications.

A beautiful fountain, just watch the wind shifts or you'll get wet. They show the Reds games in the square. Lots of restaurants ring the square, including the city's premier ice cream parlor.

Cincinnati has done a fantastic job blending it's Industrial Age splendor with style and needs of today. Fountain Square if a great example. Fountain Square is a great place to meet and mingle. In the summer, they have free movies on the jumbo tron and people bring their own lawn chairs, etc. It's always been a favorite spot of mine and I make an effort to go there whenever I'm downtown.

This is one of those places that is great to just watch people. There are plenty of dining options to chose from, and a great ice cream parlor on the corner. Very fun.
