Dave the Belgian brewmaster is welcoming and knows his stuff. The beers are great (I actually smuggled a mix-six box in my luggage back into my present country. In addition to the wines we got from Rippon) We tried some of the Cardrona gold and another one- i forget the name - a pilsner, on premises and he explained about... More

Tours of this family-run microbrewery take place daily and for $10pp we were shown round by the Belgian owner then had a tasting of three beers of our choice. Great value and lovely beers! Like other reviewers we were the only guests on the tour so the owner was able to take his time and answer our questions thoroughly. It... More

We visited and did the brewery tour (despite the Lonely Planet saying bookings were recommended, we were the only people on the tour). The cost of the tour was $10 and that included three 150ml tasting glasses as well. The beer was delicious, especially the range of seasonal beers. Not bad prices on bottles of beer either, 24 delicious beers... More

Beer was very tasty. Had a good selection of craft beers. The bar itself could be presented better. The person that served us left and the bar was unattended, we only stayed for the one beer so it didn't matter to us.

Lots of beers to sample in a small and friendly bar area. Owner was most willing to chat about everything to do with beer life and the universe without making you feel obligated to buy stuff. Also do a great stumpy style cider. There is an outdoor area to enjoy your beer on a sunny day. A great family owned... More

Great beer, snacks and info from the friendly owner! Really enjoyed an afternoon trying various beers with snacks as part of a $10 deal and got some to take home too! Met the owner later in Wanaka, really friendly, definitely recommend! Really knowledgable and passionate about beer! We are looking forward to next visit!

We booked a tour and tasting through GrabOne. The owner (sorry - can't remember his name) is obviously very passionate about his beer and brewery. It was a small, personal tour with tastings at the end. We all bought a 6 pack which you could choose which beers you wanted in it. Recommended

Located conveniently on the same site as the National Toy and Transport museum, this is a must for beer lovers or people who want to sample some NZ ingenuity. Pete is a fantastic host, informative and really passionate about his beer. The tastes are a very generous for a small price. My husband and I loved the choice available I... More

The Brewski is my favorite, but the Cardrona Gold was the big seller when I was waitressing. I'd love to visit the brewery sometime.

Definitely worth a visit. We were too early for the tour but Dave the brewer was still happy to chat to us and give us some advice to help with our own homebrewing. They seem very passionate here about brewing good quality craft beer that everyone will enjoy and this shows in the great tasting beer they are producing. Our... More
