The beach is beautiful! Not crowded or commercial, just very relaxed and laid back. While we are not surfers, it was fun to watch the surfers in the morning and at night. The sunset was our favorite part of the day, we made sure we were on the beach each night to see it with the surfers in the background.

Avoid the rocks and find a spot down the beach a bit where the surfers hang out. If you can find a spot near some palm trees, or even near one of the small hotels that has hammocks, that is the best spot!

Precious beach, surfing, nature tours, walking along miles and miles of secluded pristine beaches, friendly people... Lovely place.

We enjoyed Santa Teresa for the surf. Other pluses of the beach include the row of trees that provides shade as well as ample parking.

The beach is lovely but not ideal for swimming, as the waves are huge. This is a surfer's paradise. Santa Teresa is great for a long walk on the beach as it has miles of unobstructed walkway. Don't walk the beach at night (even with a group).

White sand beach with good quality waves considering it is a beach break...Super chill town with plenty of places to stay and places to eat...

this place was a dream. white sand beaches, really beautiful palm tree backdrops that made this a total paradise. The water's were a little rough because of the large waves, but the beach scene was happening. Tons of little bars to grab a pina colada, and lots of fun things to do. You can walk in either direction and see... More

Santa Teresa is a difficult road trip, but it is one of the most beautiful beaches I've seen. I fear that, in twenty years, it will be another tourist trap. They beach stretches as far as the eye can see in either direction, and watching surfers and running hermit crab races while waiting for sunset is a must do!

Don't go. Crime ridden drought suffering dust bowl town. You can't relax in a town where you are worried about theft 24/7. Good waves, but bad vibes. Californians know, east coasters accept it only because they don't know better.

This is a great beach for surfing or just spending the day soaking up the sun. The beach is one of the cleanest and largest I've come across in Central America. From Nov-April your pretty much guaranteed waves. It stays relatively quiet most of the time with people walking up and down the beach with the occasional horseback rider or... More
