For many people Santorini's beaches seem a bit "spooky" because most of them are black (it's a volcanic island). I found the Perissa beach crystal clear and beautiful.
the sea is so clean...its always perfect.you can find nice place to relax.we went everyday to SEASIDE which has so nice sun beds so nice food the best sweets.....
really enjoyed our stay at perissa. people were lovely and helpful. the beach was very clean, plenty of beds to hire and lots of places to eat and chill out. the sea looked clean and clear...very cold in may though.
Clean , busy and always found a sun bed available, very many restaurants and bars. Just be very careful if you don't like cold water!!! It was freezing. In my opinion, Perivolos is nicer than Perissa and less busy.
Tiny place geared to tourists, however font let this put you off, spectacular views, clear blue sea, black sand that gets so hot it could melt the souls of your trainers! The beach bars are epic and good is generally fabulous .... I recommend grilled kalimari and Greek salad with a Mythos on the side ! Kick back and enjoy...

Loved that FOR ONCE the beach chairs were FREE! We didn't even have to buy anything from the restaurant AND got free WiFi. Very close to many restaurants. We went during "off-peak" season so it was very quiet and relaxing. The black sand was extremely hot and not enjoyable for a stroll during the heat of the day. But overall,...
