We stayed here for a one night break, including dinner. The food was delicious and there was a great selection on the menu. The rooms on the other hand left a lot to be desired. We were staying in a Links room. We were not really concerned with the walk to the Lodge (although a bit inconvenient) and there is... More

It is a well thought out course with no 'naff holels' and lots of interest. It uses the natural beauty of the dunes to great effect

2 couples stayed for 2 nights. Ladies spaing, gents golfing. Lodge huge and luxurious but would have liked a bath. There is plenty room. Realise now that this is American owned but many Brits and Irish still like a bath! Bed probably the most comfortable we have ever slept in. Downstairs bedroom had huge walk in dressing room but no... More

When we rolled up at 10:30, there wasn't a golfer in sight. The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful (a common theme on this trip!), including letting us park right outside the front of the shop and giving us a shuttle ride out to the range and back. Unlike some of the other days we had, the sun was actually... More

You have to like Links Golf to enjoy this, but I do and compared to all the other Links Courses in Ireland it is worth playing it.

Stayed in one of the Deluxe Suites in the main Courtyard. Quiet, comfortable cottage like style room and amazing bathroom with huge walk in shower. Dined in Darbys Restaurant and we had Fillet Steak and SeaBass which were both divine. Highly recommended. Staff very helpful. The White Horse Spa was wonderful and the treatment (by Marta who was so friendly)... More

Stayed in cottage room for bed and breakfast. The exterior walls seemed neglected at first impression but other aspects more than compensated. Furnished to very high standards of comfort . Bed large and super comfy with super soft floaty duvets and we slept like bugs in rug! Breakfast was tasty but as my friend does not like smoked food ,... More

although the outlay of the golf club and the houses were a little too american to attract me, the golf course itself was absolutely beautiful to play, a nice challenge with all those rolling hills, service in pro shop very professional and friendly

There was nothing I didn't like about it, but some people might find it quite challenging. We were lucky the sun shone. It is open and exposed and can be very windy and we've had a lot of rain this year so I'm sure there was a lot of that too in Doonbeg.
