Waterworks was a wonderful discovery and we'll definitely go back on a warm, sunny day with a picnic and togs. There was so much to see and do...something for everyone from Grandma to our 9 year old son, and we really enjoyed reading the many pearls of wisdom and humour on the boards dotted throughout. Well done to the great... More

Fantastic place with original attractions and an ideal place to take the kids although without kids I would still recommend as young and old alike enjoyed this visit.

We will definitely be coming back when the kids are older. I just didnt feel we got our money's worth this trip. Our kids are still 3 and under, but they had a blast at the mousewheel and other water play that they can reach. The place is quirky cool. The stream and fresh mountain air made the visit even... This is a great place to visit with kids! All of the exhibits are interactive and they have an excellent kids play area. If you visited in summer you could also have a swim in the river which is pretty choice :) Be prepared to get a little wet on some activities though. We took a pram and it was... More

Firstly, $20 seemed a lot to pay for entry here. The lady at the counter wasn't particularly friendly or interested in her job. Once in the park, it was very obvious that the park was in need of a face lift. Many attractions were rusting or broken, which is a shame as they could be quite interesting. The worst decision... What an inspiring attraction to visit! That there are so many ingenious ways with water and old junk is simply amazing. One could easily spend 2 hours at this attraction. It is very 'hands on' and a MUST SEE if you are in the Coromandel area. While you are there...travel the length of the 309 Road...gorgeous scenery and other attractions... More

My husband & I stopped off at this attraction while travelling Number 309 road to Coromandel township. Definitely "quirky", unique place to visit! we spent our time there admiring the quirky exhibits (quite a few of them interactive, so great for ppl with children). We went on 2 flying foxes - pretty hair-raising, as they look very basic & you... More

A lovely drive around the Coromandel water, over the hill (stop for a photo opportunity at the top) then carry on over the single lane bridge (watch for the oncoming locals) and up the 309 road to a haven of water and fun. Great for adults and children. Lovely cafe, great things for the children to explore and much quirky... More

Spent a morning here on our travels around NZ last month, and really enjoyed it. It was not busy at all, and we enjoyed the various displays and our 4 year old loved getting hands on with the various displays and things to operate, squirt water etc! The playground was great too and the waterhole looked like it would be... More
