We came to Vicki & Steve's when a baby Pizote was abandoned by his mother and was found by my husband lost, scared and very dehydrated on the long drive up the mountain road to reach our home in a town nearby the reserve. Knowing that we could not keep the adorable and cuddly baby, I hit the Internet in... More

We braved the 3 hour drive from Playa Grande to visit Sibu Sanctuary. We arrived an hour late having totally misjudged the drive. (I would say...take your time and enjoy the experience. Nosara is a beautiful place and it's not a terrible road!!!!) Steve and Vicky graciously allowed us in and Steve gave each of us a welcoming hug! He... More

I give tons of credit to her mission, saving the monkeys from being electrocuted is an amazing thing! I just want all my trip adviser friends to be aware that it's very difficult to get there and I mean very difficult. And this is someone's backyard she does have an amazing house! And she takes care of these monkeys Whose... More

We thank you for your candid opinion with regard to your visit at the Refugio Animales de Nosara branch of Nosara Wildlife Rescue. The Refugio takes in injured and orphaned animals, nursing them back to health when they are then transferred to SIBU Sanctuary where they go through the Step Down Release Program to reintegrate them back into the wild.... My trip to Sibu Sanctuary was very special. Steve and Vicki were so friendly, welcoming and full of information! You can tell they are very passionate about what they do. The monkeys were fascinating, and having the opportunity to interact with them was a one of a kind experience. Highly recommend visiting, you'll be supporting a good cause if you... More

It was very nice, with a view of the ocean and beach. Howler monkeys threw fruit at us. Not very good hours, but still very nice place.

Hola, My fiance and I came to Costa Rica and stayed at the RIU Guanacaste not knowing much about Costa Rica. We are both animal lovers and activists so we decided to rent a car and drive from our resort to Nosara. We were greeted with open arms by Brenda and he troop of monkeys. For the fist hour she... Brenda is very knowledgeable about the wildlife in the area and she has helped countless monkey's and other animals in need of care who have been injured or are sick. Everyone should go visit, and make a donation to this wonderful organization. If you are planning a trip to Nosara, visit their website. They are always in need of bandages... More

I took my sometimes jaded teenage girls up to see Brenda and hear about the work that she has devoted her life to. Seeng the photos and meeting the animals was a moving experience for all of us. The cost is $50 cash per person, which goes directly to funding their work. It was money well spent. We left glad... More
