Most beaches in the Greek Isles are not sandy. This beach has very little sand and is crowded with chairs. I walked there but didn't bother to stay
This is a nice beach but make sure you walk along the beach to Nicolos Taverna because you wont be dissapointed. Food is excellent.
When you first approach the beach at Platis Gialos, you will be likely overwhelmed by the cramped beach chairs and umbrellas that are all privately owned by the hotels and restaurants. Beach with watersports, restaurants and mini market - full package. End of May was quite windy and still quiet, yet hot enough and less crowdy.

This was my favorite beach on Mykonos. Very blue water, soft sand and very few rocks in the water to walk over. Great time had here.

The chairs are free because they want you to order from their kitchen / bar whereas at Paradise beach it cost 6 euro to rent one chair....

Lovely soft sand and water you can't resist. The beach lounger/bar service by the staff at the Hotel Kosmoplaz was great with ice buckets supplied to keep your drinks cold for longer. The looky looky men and the Asian massage people are a pest.
