Not to be missed, this is the only tourist spot in Macau. The road going there for me is the highlight, the road full of food samples. You start the street hungry and if you try everything you'll be full when you reach the ruins. The ruins is just a place to take photos unless you like to go up... More

Ruins of St. Paul's Cathedral is as well-known as casinos in Macau. It is often used to promote Macau's tourism. It is packed with tourists all day and it is next to impossible to take a nice picture without people in it. While it is the landmark of Macau, it doesn't look very different from other European church to me.

It's located within walking distance from Senado Square. Take a walk uphill and the ruin is on top of the hill. We could see partial view of Macau city if we sit back on its stairway. Not much other attractions to see on this site, I think; but the ruin itself is very impressive as photo background. It still well-kept... More

It was very interesting to see. Since only one wall remains, you would have to use your imagination to see the full building in your mind’s eye. Since this is a “must see” in Macau. There are throngs of people at the ruins though it was raining slightly. There are many stores where you can buy souvenirs around the ruins.... More

I have an affinity for historical sites, so I had to go there. From the stairs at the front of the facade, you can see all the Portuguese influence that Macau has taken to preserve - including the stone pathways, walls, buildings. The whole area is aged and romantic. You don't feel like you're in China.

You should visit this place via Largo de Senado. But be careful because the roadsigns (like in Hongkong) are very small: you only have to read carefully, no need to ask other people. When you get there, don't miss the chance to go up via the stairs, you should see the view from the front of facade; and also should... More

Went there at night. Couldn't find the place. No proper signage or too small signages...have to ask a few times to locate the place. Not many people at night....

I am a Catholic and upon seeing the ruins I asked myself, "What happened?". This place became a tourist spot where photos are taken showing the ruins on the background. Lots of stores in the vicinity selling all kinds of goods.
