Across from the remnants of St Pauls Cathedral, the old city fortress is located up a series of steep steps, and has relics from it's past including, canons and the Macau museum( closed mondays). It offers great vistas of the surrounding area and wonderful scenic photo opportunities. There is a small refreshments shop to get a cold soft drink after... More

Few meters walking distance from the famous ruins of St. Paul Church situated on top of a promontory overlooking the city this fortress is what remains of the presence of a former Portuguese colonies here in Macau. Preserved perfectly and it is open to visitors every day, from here is possible to enjoy a stunning view over Macau. On the... More

The Forte Monte (Mount Fortess) was really cool and has old cannons lining the summit perimeter. The top also gives 360 degree views of the entire vicinity including bordering Mainland China right across from the Pearl River. You can also see the infamous oddly shaped Grand Lisboa casino along with the Macau Tower off in the distance as well as... More

Nice views of Macau but like anything else not related to gambling in Macau it was a little underwhelming. More information on the history of the fort, better accessibility and better maintenance would make this a much better tourist destination.

right beside the St. Paul facade ruins, this fort contains a cafe, bathrooms, the Macau museum and several cannons lining the top. From the top you can see most of the city. There are some interesting trees and a few benches to sit and watch the world go by. Free.

It's just a minute or two walk away from St. Paul's Cathedral. It's a short walk up the stairs (or take the elevator). Old bricks and beautiful plants blends together. When you're at the top, take a good look at the view of Macau, which is houses with Lisboa at the back.

A very good view of the city and a great place to take photos. One of UNESCO World Heritage designations and it's right next to the museum. A lot quieter than the Ruins of St. Paul. A little climbing required to get up to the fort.

The Monte Forte attraction, which is a member of the UNESCO World Heritage designation for the Historic Centre of Macau is located right next to the famous Ruins of St. Paul. It is a nice place to visit but needs to be combined with the Macau Museum, within the same grounds to be worth your time. The lower level below... More

not much to see beyond a few cannons, gardens. The all round view of Macau is impressive and worth a climb to the top if only to go to the museum.
