This is a sandy beach and has good water sport facilities. However the sunbeds have taken over the beach and are much too close together. We went on a Sunday and it was full with a lot of people insisting on playing bat and ball in areas not big enough to do so!! Not a beach for a relaxing day.
This bay is beautiful. The water gently laps the shore and its very safe for children. The sand is clean and there are plenty of sun beds at only 2 euros a day. There are plenty of water sport activities and restuarants and a lovely boardwalk takes you right along the bay. Protaras strip is 3mins walk from the beach
A nice beach promenade allows for walking along all the bay. The beach promenade should be continued past the Vings hotel on the southern part of the bay though. Cleaning and mending of the areas around the bay seems to be done every day, and the facilities are just great. But be aware: this is not the place to go...

Gorgeous place and very gorgeous clear water and great watersports we went here on a day out on the buggies that you can rent and there are some gorgeous bays but this is certainly a must to see.
Nice little restaurants, clear blue water with good snorkling opportunities. My eleven year old son and I went on boat trips, fishing expeditions, snorkled and scubadived. Had a good time. Watch out for restaurants serving gravy all over your food. But DO visit the restaurant Promises. Loved it!
Visited during walks, did not linger, but excellent beach. Usual souvenir shops and fast food restaurants, we did not use these but for those in apartments it would be quite a good location to spend time in by the sea.
Great beach clean and tidy clear water. 5min walk from the Ilida beach hotel. You can walk down the new beach path our you can go along the main road by the shops to get to Fig tree bay, you will enjoy both ways.
My kids enjoyed running in clean sand of a beach, and swimming the sea.
In addition, my hobby is a long-distance swimming, and during my run to Cavo Greko I crazy liked to hang for a while in a middle of a bay and watch around! Transparent, almost distilled water, you see every stone and every little fish!

The beach is busy, lots of fun water sports, cheap sun beds, great little beach bar and restaurant. I disliked the sand, its not white anymore, they definitely have brought sand in, dark brown gritty now, still ok though
