Visiting the gorilla's is the most amazing thing that I've ever done. Standing close to them, watching how they eat, looking into their eyes. It's very expensive, I know, but it's worth the money !

The chance to get to watch the Gorillas moving around in that thick forest, the trek back to the camp and the information from the guides on the different aspects of the are, tress and animals was unforgettable.

Although potentially a very strenuous hike, the gorillas are worth it. The trackers and guides do a great job of getting you to the gorillas in their forest habitat. A very special experience to observe them in their world. The remainder of the park is special as well and affords many hiking activities where you are likely to see other... More

We booked through Uganda based Encounter Africa's Jane. The service we received was amazing. Jane was proactive, efficient and a pleasure to deal with. Our guide Gumisiriza Tolbert and team leader Edson came through the day before to brief me on what would happen. Tolbert was punctual in picking us up and was knowledgeable in terms of all the questions... More

Yesterday we got back from a gorilla trek in Uganda`s Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. After doing some research back in Sydney we decided to book with a company called Travelust African Safaris which turned out to be a great choice! We were picked up promptly from our hotel in Entebbe at 8am with just the two of us (plus driver)... More

This is definitely something which needs to be on everyone's bucket list. For Gorilla trekking in Uganda we chose a company called Travelust, which I can thoroughly recommend. They picked us up from Boma in Entebbe and drove about 10 hours to the national park. Don't expect an easy drive, the roads are very hit and miss, and although the... More

When you arrive near the start of the Nkuringo group you will go to the UWA park office. There is a decent outside toilet there....use it! You have a difficult day of climing ahead! Bwindi is a magical, amazing forest, which is unlike any you've ever seen. At one point you are wading through small rivers/creeks, then walking up huge,... More

Any person interested in Birds will be grateful when they visit Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The birds welcome you right from when you drive out of Kabale Town towards Ruhija area of the Park. I enjoyed the Rwenzori NightJar at night, lots of them along the way. Handsome Fracolin, Mountain Musked Apalis, Augar Buzzard, Blue headed sunbird,e.t.c There are enought... More

I had always imagined that i knew UGANDA well but my experience at Bwindi left me wanting to travel even the more, we spent about six-hours in a bamboo trail at ruhija, it was wonderful. The neighboring towns of Buhoma and Nkuringo both had an impressive array of luxury lodges, rustic bandas and budget campsites. Every body should experience what... More
