An impressive gateway leads onto the site. Even has the places for hinges and door frames. We walked around the whole site and found many pieces of roof tiles and pot. What a view down to Sami and along the coast. Well worth a visit and avoid going in the midday sun!

Out on a lonely hill in the baking sunshine. We had a car so it was worth a quick look, but I would have been so annoyed if I'd walked up there in the blazing sun. Walking would take atleast an hour one-way from Sami centre. The hills are very steep.

The Acropolis gives you great views but I'm not convinced it's worth the visit. The ground is very unstable with all the rocks and you need to be very careful with your footing. If you have hired a car it's probably worth the drive up just to check it out especially as there is the monastery further down the road... More
