This location was very popular. It was a small station without any man operators. When we were there, there was many tourists snapping pictures.

We thought the station was next to the sea, but it was actually separated by a road

Despite Shikoku's being an island, one would think that its coast is lined with beaches. Unfortunately, we have travelled much enough in Hokkaido, Kyushu and here to know that beaches are not readily found, and that they are nothing to shout about, if they exist. Strange, isn't it, for island countries!
This is a pretty short beach. The water is however crystal clear...and would seem to be a popular spot for Japanese sunbathers, as not many beaches are around. There is a line of floats to keep debris from floating onto the beach.
There's a roadside station offering local produce(opens from 10am), and beside it a food stall selling grilled seafood from 9am.
We were here for a morning walk. We walked along the dyke to observe some Japanese people fishing. They caught about 4 squids, really huge ones, less than a foot long and 5 inches wide. Really beautiful and amazing creatures, as we have never seen these in supermarkets or fish shops.
This would seem to be a lovely sunset spot nevertheless, from photos seen of this place. It's also a good stop over for those going from Matsuyama to Yawatahama.

The roadside station is like any other, selling local produce. What's interesting is the food stall beside it offering grilled seafood and some other snacks.
A good lunch stop or break for any traveller.
