What travellers are saying
- M. L. Ullrich17 contributionsWhile not at all what I had expected, being there to watch a hatchling release and supporting this organization made it well worth the effort. I think I had anticipated more hatchlings and fewer people.
For our release, there were about 50 hatchlings and twice that many people, but the staff was careful to ensure the safety of the hatchlings and seeing them scamper across the sand made us all smile. We observers found ourselves cheering and worrying and generally celebrating at least this first step in the lives of these wonderful creatures.
A Todos Santos experience not to be missed. The release is free to attend and the organization invites donations. There are also volunteer opportunities. An attendee and her children had volunteered to monitor the hatches during the day. It was an amazing experience for the children and they spoke very highly of the quality of the quality of care given to the eggs and hatchlings.Written 20 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The guacamole is fresh and huge portion. Nice ambiance with several tables in sand and in doors. Good variety of Mexican food. Cash only. Cold drinks.Written 22 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Travelbug1155San Francisco, CA535 contributionsThis is a nice beach if you can manage to find the unmarked turn off on the main highway and drive about a mile or two down a Sandy rutted road to the end. Park your car and walk about another quarter mile follow the sound of the waves. When you get there you’ll know it. It’s a very long stretch of pristine Beach with a small freshwater stream, Feeding into it.
There is a nice palm forest shading the pathway. Although they say it is a safe swimming beach, the waves are large and powerful and so is the undertow. This is not a kid beach, if you manage to get past the surf break it’s calmer and of course a lot deeper , so this is really a place for only the best , most confident swimmers.
We were there from one to 3:30 PM and the waves were steady and constant. It was also low tide with incoming direction. Could have been better at 10 am but I can’t say.
And lastly, those damn horses, they are aggressive. If you’re stuff is not attended, they’ve learned to stick their noses into coolers and bags seeking food , you can shoo them off, but do not get close to them as they have been known to kick violently. .Written 26 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Didn’t have time to swim although there were a few people out snorkeling when we were there. Very lightly populated. Looked like a nice hotel however didn’t check it out closely.Written 9 November 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - NCtravelzRaleigh, NC1,163 contributionsWe walked here but a few folks drove and parked at the end. We went just in time for sunset. There were other people but not many for such a large beach. The surf is amazing but also looks very dangerous. Not a swimming beach.Written 21 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Teresa L8 contributionsSurf is excellent to moderate if the wind comes up, for experience surfers. Glassy, reef break is exceptional. For non-surfers great place to swim further south of the break, there is a bit of an undertow. Good for walking to Green Room for a cocktail & great whale watching! We camped 1 night there, friendly group around us, quite & peaceful. Crowded in morning with locals driving in to surf. Will definitely return!Written 13 January 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

We were met at Todos's City Park by Chevo our driver. We were pleased to board a roomy, clean and beefy Honda 4-WD vehicle. Though Chevo speaks little English and I speak little Spanish, we enjoyed each other for our 5-6 hour tour. Chevo expertly maneuvered through the deep sand of the arroyo and narrow, bumpy road mountain road up to La Candelaria, stopping along the way for photo ops of the oasis, birds and gnarly trees. He took us to Lorena Hankins's village home and studio. Lorena was very gracious in telling how she happened to arrive at Candelaria and then gave a demo on putting the finishing touches on a lidded pot. After purchasing several of her pieces, Chevo took us to a sugar cane processing establishment and then up to the colorful village cemetery. Chevo asked if there was anything we wanted to see on our "little field trip". When asked if he knew of something else, he suggested going off road to a lovely waterfall. Here we enjoyed our pre-packed picnic lunch and a cold beer. After a final stop at the blanket factory, we hugged our new friend, Chevo, good bye and thanked him for being a part of one of our best days in the Todos area.Written 15 March 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
