Directed by Dave Campbell, Canadian Idol's choreographer, Live at Deerhurst shows have become Canada's longest running stage production. A mix of music, dance and more, they are the hot way to spend a night in Muskoka. Current productions include concert-style hit Canada Rocks, a red, white and true tribute to our nation's pop stars, and After Hours, a whirlwind trip to the world's nightclub spots, like Miami, the Pussycat Dolls' Vegas, and the Moulin Rouge.

The forerunner of Muskoka's popularity as a golf destination, par 72 Deerhurst Highlands remains a must-play renowned for its layout which flows naturally through a rugged yet lush landscape of granite outcroppings, deep valleys and heavy forests. Beyond the drama of holes like #10, where tees perch 30 feet above a rock wall, and surprises like a links-style swirl, playability is key throughout this top-rated 7,011-yard challenge. Featuring practice facility, seasonal lounge and comprehensive Golf Academy.

Although less known than neighboring landmark Deerhurst Highlands, par 64 Deerhurst Lakeside is a local favorite for a quick round, family play or a warm-up game. Redesigned by famed Canadian Tom McBroom, the front nine skirts Peninsula Lake while the more demanding back nine uses most clubs in your bag. Driving range and practice green get you started; an all-ages Golf Academy led by one of Canada’s Top 50 instructors will keep you on course.

"Lions Lookout point is the highest point in Huntsville, Ontario. You can drive up there and see almost the whole town which overlooks the Muskoka River. In the fall it is a beautiful place to visit to see all the beautiful fall colours (amazing). Anyone coming to Huntsville must take a ride up to top..." and see this amazing view.

"Just returned home from a long weekend in the area. Eight of us played Lakeside twice in a single day and were absolutely delighted from start to finish. The staff went to great effort to get us out on the course which was completely underwater earlier in the week. Considering the extended winter..." and wet conditions leading up to the weekend the course was in great shape and reasonably priced. For anyone who wants to get in a quick 18 this is the course to play, alternating from the white to blue plays different enough to keep it interesting. Great thanks to Matt and the team for the hospitality. See you next year.

"This is a very enjoyable outing and definately a must-see if you have a day or two to spare in Hunstville. Right off Highway 60 but watch for the signs or you might just miss it. We were there for the May long weekend & signed up for the earliest slot at 10am. I believe they do later times as well, ..."but i would suggest taking the earlier ones because you most definately need the time once you get up on the trees. We ended up with about 7people in our group. While i had been ziplining before, this experience is not something we were familiar with and definately works out your arms, core & upper body to the max. The ziplining is the easy part but it is the rest of the course that is challenging. The heights are not scary enough nor will you ever fall, but the sheer strength & stamina required to get from point-to-point is a workout. We are fairly fit and found it exhausting. The older ones in our group couldn't possibly have made it through the course & decided to sit it out. The team /gu...
