The Wild Pacific Trail is located in Ucluelet and is a seven phase trail system skirting the rugged cliffs and shoreline of the west coast of Vancouver Island. Overlooking Barkley Sound and the Broken Group Islands to the east and the open Pacific Ocean to the south and west, it offers spectacular shoreline panoramas and seaward vistas through ancient cedar and spruce-framed viewing platforms constructed on the best headlands along the route.

"Often aquariums have an assortment of sea life from all over the place. Not so here, all the exhibits are from the local area, and are released at the end of the season. A really great idea, and so refreshing to get to see local sea life up close. The staff are very enthusiastic and chatted to us..." about the various exhibits the whole time we were there. The large octopus is particularly fascinating. Given the size the price seems expensive, but we spent an hour or so there, and I rate this as the best aquarium I have visited.
