Whether you're a total beginner, an improving golfer, or an expert looking for a test, there's a golf course for you at Stonelees Golf Centre, located in Ramsgate on the beautiful Kent coast. Some golf courses boast that they are seriously challenging. That's fine for the expert but no fun for the beginner. Some courses are short with no serious difficulty. That's fine for the beginner but boring for the better golfer. Stonelees is the golf centre that solves this problem by offering a golf course for the beginner, a golf course for the "average" or improving player, and a golf course for the low-handicapper.Stonelees is one of the few golf centres anywhere that offers three distinct golf courses, with each one becoming more difficult. We have a Par 3 course, an Executive course, and the full-length Heights Course which means that you can enjoy a game at Stonelees, whatever your standard.

The building was built for Customs & Excise and was used as this until the 1980's. It is now home to the Ramsgate Visitor Centre, the Custom House Coffee Shop, a gallery and gift shop Nice Things and the RNLI shop. Ramsgate's Town Council have the first floor with the Mayor's Parlour and the Council Chamber, which is available for hire for dinners and parties. The building has been well restored and has most of its original features including the doors and ornate plaster mouldings.

"The wall was sadly overpainted in white gloss. The site is subject to a major local controversy as the developers who have had the site do not have the funds to build. However, in front of is an amazing beach...Ramsgate Sands and when the sun shines a seaside day out or holiday location that is hard..." to beat!

"This has fast become our favourite local watering hole since it opened a couple of years ago, and we usually go once a week at least. It's a friendly, relaxed little place, well run with good beers and ciders (with wine also available). As a female, it's nice to be able to say that I would happily g..."o there on my own, which I can't say of most regular 'pubs'. It's well run, Colin makes each and everyone welcome, and he doesn't tolerate any nuisance. A night at the Conquerer is more like a relaxed evening with friends - and even if you didn't know anyone before you went in, you will by the time you come out! It's great to go somewhere with no TV, no Sky sports, no fruit machines, just good beer and good company. This place is an asset to Ramsgate, definitely recommended to beer loving visitors. Currently (as at May 2013) last orders is 9.30pm, so don't get caught out!
