For a ride through the relatively narrow streets of Vieux Cannes (Le Suquet), board the train at a clearly designated site along La Croisette on its seaward side. Both tours depart every hour; each lasts between 30 and 40 minutes and each costs between 5€ and 6€ for adults, and between 2.50€ and 3€ for children under 10, depending on the tour. (The tour of the old town is the less expensive.) A combination ticket granting access on both of the two tours (which can be enjoyed on separate days, if you prefer) costs 8€ for adults and 5€ for children under 10. Barely disembarked, you will be captured by scents of pine and eucalyptus, by the sheer fullness of this place and its multiple attractions.The best way to discover its real nature is undoubtedly by following the sign-posted paths which lead you to botanic and historic discoveries.You can walk from the Batéguier pond amongst numerous migratory bird species to the Pointe de la Convention where you can find a variety of essential oils. Continue on to the Fort Royal, the former residence of the Masque de Fer (the man in the iron mask), allowing you to appreciate the strategic role played by the island.
