"Apart from the pictures, busts, manuscripts, original instruments and memorabilia there's a really interesting digital archive where you can listen to any piece and look at the manuscript at the same time, or compare versions of the Appassionata sonata by different pianists."
"The museum is well worth the small admission price for a glimpse in Beethoven's life and death. Be sure to rent the headphones for the self guided audio tour, as just looking at the exhibits will mean nothing to you if you don't speak German since there is no bilingual printed guide. The museum is l..."ocated in the heart of the pedestrian mall area of downtown Bonn which has many shops, restaurants and other interesting stores, so there is plenty to do after going through the museum. You will be going up and down narrow stairs so the tour is for the able, but there is still plenty to do and see on the lower levels if you are unable to climb stairs. The gift shop is rather small but you can find CD's of practically all of Beethoven's works, as well as some of his more famous manuscripts. If you are lucky, you may be treated to a concert in the hall. Definitely a worthwhile experience to see when you are in Bonn.
