Mnemossyne artists house is the place where you will find an unique variety of pieces of art like photographs, jewellery, clothes, etc..., all astonishingly handmade by local artists. The gallery has a very harmonic atmosphere in an elegant cave house located only a few steps before the famous sunset spot in Oia.

La Ponta, a 13th century tower, is located within the Venetian castle (Kasteli) of Akrotiri, 1km above the pre-historic archaeological site of Akrotiri, Santorini. The tower hosts a tsabouna - Greek folk wind instrument of the bagpipe family - exhibition and workshop along with traditional Greek percussion instruments and flutes.Daily guided tours explore the history of the tower, the origin of the tsabouna and offer a live performance of the instruments.Help us restore the tower and support Cultural Tourism at the "Restoration Donation Cafe". Savour a beverage on the tower terrace while overlooking a panoramic view of the island and the ancient vineyard below.

The setting that Gallery Art of the loom is located in was built in 1866 and was originally used as a winery serving the needs of the local society for wine production. After the great earthquake of 1956 the building remained untouched until 2010 when we renovated it and maintained intact the traditional cycladic architecture.Today the Gallery houses some of the best works by many well-known Greek artists which include oil paintings, jewelry, ceramics, glass and bronze creations and many others. In our opinion we have created an actual place of art, so enjoy!!!

The cove right next to the Red beach, on the southern side of Santorini, is known as the White beach. It is very similar to the Red beach, with black pebbles on the shore, only that the surrounding cliffs are white. This beach is accessible only by boat or on foot from the Red beach.

"Despite anything negative I have to say is hike was 110% worth it and so much fun. My mom and I did the hike on a sunny day in mid May. We are both pretty fit and young but it was a challenge!! There are many jagged rocks or loose gravel so you are forced to go very slow and tech every step. Of cour..."se we stopped to rest and take pictures too so it took us many hours to complete it. Our hotel is inbetween Fira and Oia so we did both directions on separate days. Both ways much of the path is up steep steep hills with very dangerous drop offs to one side. We also had a start dog closely follow is for about 2 hours on the way to Oia (that was pretty cute). In my opinion, as a healthy 21 year old who frequently execersizes, I thought the hike was hard and at times a little scary. The town on either end are well worth it and a lot of fun and the views are like nothing I have ever seen. However, do not be fooled by anyone who says this is a cake walk. It is not for little children or anyone w...

"This is a great way to see something more then the towns, amazing view and you will catch up some nice things on your way. Try to plan your trip so you can see the sun go down in Oia (if you can take some heat on the way), otherwise you should go early in the morning. We actually went by a church on..." a mountain with a wedding going on. Good times :)

"We went up on the cable from the ship,as we wanted to get off quickly to the other side of the island in a taxi and beat the crowds, so Excellant choice, came back down to the donkey path on a donkey right to the bottom, great fun, the guys where there clearing the path of any droppings with a brush..." and shovel and disposing of any droppings, really good to chat to the guys running the donkey train and find out about life on a small island, good path to walk down and donkeys very shore footed , felt very safe. We were advised not to take the donkey as they were unclean, it made us laugh, they are donkeys , well looked after, what did people, expect !!!!!! Myself and my two kids(12 and15) rode down and my hubby followed with all the bags and never had a problem.
