Set on a stunning site overlooking the Bay of Islands, Waitangi is an absolute must-see for all visitors to the North, international and New Zealanders alike. "Swimming with dolphins was such an experience! The weather was gorgeous, the sea was a nice temperature and we were fortunate that the circumstances were right so we could actually have a 20 mins swim amidst the dolphins. Seeing dolphins swimming by just inches underneath you is a sight I will not f..."orget, nor the sounds they make when they approach.
Compliments to Dolphin Discoveries for accommodating such a great day. In total we spend approx. 4 hrs on the boat, which also included a further cruise through the Bay and we saw some amazing secluded beaches.
I'd very much recommend everyone to go and do this swim!

"If you're in Paihia, you have to go and visit the Waitangi Treaty Grounds. It gives you an impression of what life was like back in the day when the English and Maori signed the treaty. It was also great to learn more about the Maori culture."
