The North Coast of Kangaroo Island is home to some 270 different fish species along with seals and dolphins. We intereact with seals some 90% of the time and about 60% of the time we encounter dolphins. The Island is home to one of natures beautiful small creatures, namely the Leafy Seadragon, regarded by many as being rare and extremely difficult to find. We have some of the most prolific areas of soft coral, sponges and gorgonians found in temperate waters. The north coast of Kangaroo Island has some of the most spectacular cliffs to be found around Australia's coastline. They reach up to 270 metres and provide an unparalleled background to the dives.

"We absolutely enjoyed our time with Andrew few days ago. This was our fourth visit to the island and we wish we had known about this earlier. We took our friends from overseas who were on their first visit Down Under. They were taken by surprise by the way the dolphin explorer tour was handled. Ver..."y relaxed and cosy in a vessel that was rock steady. We had some concerns about sea sickness. With the sturdy boat, you'll never feel sick. We spent enough and more time watching the dolphins playing around our feet, up and close. Not to mention the bird life around. Absolutely amazing.
Due to time constraints we couldn't swim with the dolphins. Thats our first priority, next time we visit KI. We have been on the Port River dolphin cruise at Adelaide. Nothing compared to the experience with Andrew. Highly recommended. Plan for at least half a day whére you can swim with the dolphins. It is an experience that will be cherished for ever. We have at least watched our video recordings from ...

"These are really dedicated people who are trying to preserve a small colony of penguins along the foreshore at Kingscote. You start at the centre, where there is a very good aquarium and interpretive area. Then into the darkness with the guidance of a local. The penguins are a bit scarce at the m..."oment. The sealions are taking their numbers and it'll need some research to determine the long-term prospects for the colony. But to even see a few of the little fellas is worth the cold of the evening. Besides, you're supporting a very worthy cause...

"Well worth a visit. Beautiful part of the coast, cool old whale skeleton in the dunes. Outstanding boardwalks, always lots of seals too. KI at its best."
