"I truly enjoyed my trip to the museum. Myanmar has a long history of crafts like lacquerware, wood crafts, jade carving etc. One can see a lot of these crafts show cased here. The country has an enormous number of ethnic people and the museum has ethnography section where one can see the diversity a..."nd history of all these people.
The shop at the museum has plenty of books and DVDs for sale. Besides, one can acquire some of the wonderful craft samples displayed in the museum.

"Walking through the Sule Pagoda is a dream. It takes you back to the fairy tales of yore. The Pagoda opens to more and more gold. As one moves around, one sees the monks and the devout at their meditative best. The monks beckon you and even tie a thread of protection around your wrist. The Sule hous..."es a part of the hair relic of the Buddha. The sanctity and the esteem with which the place is held is apparent. If you are in awe of the place the Buddha holds in socieities like in an ancient land of Myanmar, you will feel quite blessed visiting this place.

"This charming house is where the family of Bogyoke or General Ang San lived. The house has a few narratives about the life of Aung San. There are old pictures and 2 years old Su Kyi hardly betrays here mettle in these pictures. There are old teak wood furniture pieces which Myanmar is so famous for...." There is a lovely garden and woods surrounding the house. There is a place marked there where apparently Su Kyi's brother drowned to death. The entrance fee is nominal. One cannot take pictures inside the house.
