We need to take a boat to Kulangsu. When we arrived there were 5 historic places we could go to, we had a tour guide and the experience was great. However, you need to walk a lot and for all the places you need to buy tickets because the place is quite big and you need a lot of time spent on it. So don't buy all the ticket.Written 10 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The temple was nice and clean and we loved the turtle and lotus ponds. It was free to enter when we went but tricky to register via WeChat. Plan to spend about an hour or two here.Written 6 July 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- PietroDallaviaCumbria, UK247 contributionsExcellent experience [since it wasn't raining]. We walked from the Oldest Tea Bush to the Cave through the walkways and avoided the bus routing. The only disappointment was that the cave wasn't a cave, something must have got lost in the translation. Also recommend highly the Sound and Light show in the evening, which was the best I have ever seen. We also went on the rafts down the river which was most enjoyable.Written 5 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Andy cMadrid, Spain29 contributionsIt is not easy to go to this place, we didn't find any pubic buses running from city to this attractions, maybe it is low season, so we took a taxi to reach it. This is my first time to see this kind of round big buildings, look like flowers on the land if you have a view from a high point. To my surprised, there are still some local people inhabiting inside the house. Feel very cozy ! There are not some good hotels but with some local homestays. The price is reasonable, anyway worth a trip.Written 27 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- SpiM55Shanghai Region, China195 contributionsUnfortunately, access to the campus during CNY was not possible. (pity but understandable). However, the opportunity to walk all around the outer perimeter of the campus gave an excellent overview.Written 6 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LeonhknyHong Kong, China14,495 contributionsLike other major Chinese cities, Xiamen has a lively shopping street a.k.a. Zhongshan Road. At the Fujian city's historic downtown, the street is full of local eateries and souvenir shops. Beyond its touristy vibe, the rows of buildings along the street are impressive and worth a glance.Written 4 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - IndiajuddShanghai, China60 contributionsi enjoyed my trip here - there is a lot of officiousness around the entrance, not so around the exit (hint) - its a series of courtyards and at least in covid times very peaceful. Some very old statues and the main hall is impressive. It just did not feel like a functioning temple. The "old town" outside is worth a wander for coffee-shops etc, old here being about 20y and every house now being / converted into a shop - but still nice to stroll. The refreshment areas in the temple were not so. I put 2-3hr including the stroll outsideWritten 22 January 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- AhWahXiamen, China139 contributionsThis is the main highlight in Fuzhou. A must go to for all first timers to Fuzhou. The place can be crowded and a great place for a night stroll.
The buildings r all filled with businesses selling touristic charms like pendants, keychains etc. There is also a Starbucks hidden in an old building too, nice.
Overall, a v touristic place that can be enjoyed for shopping and coffee.Written 25 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There are many things to see and do along the route, including jogging and cycling tracks (bike rentals available), museums to visit, enjoy some of the architecture, dine at one of the many restaurants, enjoy drinks at the cafes, and more.Written 5 October 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - KodoDrummerBuenos Aires, Argentina65,207 contributionsBeautiful, well thought out living compounds of southeastern Fujian Province. They were built between the 12th and 20th centuries. Thus, this design proved its worth and benefits over 800 years.Written 27 September 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
