What travellers are saying
- andrew c9 contributionsThe experience was great, although some long queues. We visited before spring festival but it was still very busy. Dress for the cold, it was -23C and with the breeze felt like -30C. Looks good during the daytime and amazing at night when all the sculptures are lit up. The snow park is not lit at night so you have to go in the daytime.Written 21 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Michael WMelbourne, Australia23 contributionsWow - this Pedestrian was lit up like a Christmas Tree with street lights, lights shining through Ice-carvings, shop lights and colourfully-dressed people. It was open from in the morning until late at night and not far from my hotel (Baibo hotel). I loved being there as snow fell and walking on the paths (de-iced/snowed daily) and looking inside the shops.Written 29 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Clive WOrpington1,807 contributionsI had heard about this unit for decades and was thrilled to have the opportunity to visit it. I had visited the Nanjing Massacre museum and found that to be a very moving experience. It was important to me to visit unit 731 to understand more fully the impact it had and still has on the Chinese.
Notices are in English and Chinese. There is also an audio guide (not free).
The museum gave a detailed history including some details on the large variety of experiments conducted. It was particularly poignant visiting the ruins that were left. The museum itself is in a new purpose-built building.
I saw only 3 other foreign people during my visit. I very much was glad I visited this museum. It significantly increased my understanding and I recommend it highly.Written 27 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Some paintings and a Russian musician. But is only RMB2 to get inWritten 6 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JuanMao 卷毛82 contributionsAbout a 15 min walk from the hotel, and visited every day during my 3-day visit (closed on Mondays, can only be viewed from the outside). The church has very nice elements and details inside, a QR code is required to visit it. In the city I have visited several other churches, but this is definitely recommended.Written 10 April 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - DenDen1LondonEpsom, UK312 contributionsVery nice park with a lot of Russian style buildings. Paid for one stage show when the second stage show was almost the same and free!

Is a huge place and you will see many things made from ice; building, tower, music Festival stage, everything from ice! Avail, this is the biggest ice festival around the world. Prepare your self because this place is completely huge!. AmazingWritten 24 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ZenJen3000Leeds, UK48 contributionsThis temple is indeed still open. It still costs 10yuan to enter. There are ticket offices to the left and right of the entrance. Once you enter you can buy incense on your left for 5yuan if you are so inclined. The shop with blessed items is on the right of the entrance (you can enter the shop from the outside as well).
There is a vegetarian cafeteria to the left of the entrance (outside) there is a table on the left where you can buy a pot of rice and veg or a cold noodle salad (10yuan each) and there is soup for 2yuan.
stalls with vegetarian goods can be found on the right.
If you want to visit a free temple there is one behind this one close to the entrance of the park.Written 14 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. However, I feel Zhaolin Park is a nice hidden gem in Harbin, sort of. I would say Zhaolin Park is the smaller and lite versions of the Ice and Snow festivals and is wonderful if you can't make it for the whole day at Sun Island or if maybe you would just prefer something smaller and not something so grand like the ice and snow festival on Sun Island. Even if you go to the main attractions, I still think this is a great spot to visit. Especially if you're around town. I'm sure even during the warmer months this park is lovely to come visit. However, I've only been here for the ice festival and it was quite gorgeous.
Great for a family hangout, date, night out with friends.
PROS
-Smaller scale version of ice and snow show for those who may be too overwhelmed by the bigger shows
-In the central location
small and big enough to pretty much see everything in one go
CONS
-Really no cons. Its not on the scale of the Ice and snow festival on Sun Island but its not a bad thing either.Written 16 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LG_KaySingapore, Singapore7,488 contributionsI came here mainly to visit the Flood Control Memorial Tower. The park was lively in the late afternoon / early evening. There were many visitors strolling down along the frozen Songhua River. Park has some nice statues too. Suggest you also visit the nearby Saint Sophia Cathedral and Zhongyang (Central) Pedestrian Street as part of your itinerary.Written 1 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
