"I visited the park in January with my 2 sons, seeing these unique and beautiful tigers in the snow, was an unforgettable experience. The park is located on the north bank of the Songhua River about 1 hour drive by taxi outside Harbin. It is the largest natural park for wild Siberian tigers in the wo..."rld at present. There are over 500 Siberian tigers here and you can really see them up close from your bus and take same fantastic photos while the staff are feeding them. In addition, you can also see white tigers, lions, lynx, leopards, and black pumas as well as Bengali tigers in cages. There is a lovely gift shop with anything you can think of related to tigers, we even found a toy tiger singing a famous South African rugby song! If you can in the winter, make sure you are dressed up for -40 degrees C, it was freezing cold. We bought rabbit hair socks at one of the stalls near the park and that helped a lot for cold feet! The best is to negotiate with a taxi driver to take you there and...

"Ice and Snow world in Harbin is nice, let's say first hour after you arrive there, then if you spend a lot of time outside watching the sculptures and scenaries you will be suffering the cold (-30 celsius) and not enjoying the stay. Is better going at 5pm with some natural light to see the scenaries..." without artificial lights and then rest, have something hot for drink and keep watching the same but with colorful lights, try to move yuor body and keep you hot doing some activity and after a while when you realize there is no more to do and all the ice buildings are more or less the same go faster to the avenue to take a bus to the city before all the people start leaving the attraction.
There are more things to do in the city, and try local food, quality is amazing!
*Hot Chocolate served in the small stores inside the Ice and Snow world is the worst drink ever had.

"It was warm and sunny May day when we visited the park. It was not crowded. The mini-van took the 20 visitors around the various enclosures where we could view the animals through caged windows. The tiger, lions etc are all out in force, lazing around (in the shade or sun) or having a feast of wh..."at looked like a goat. Would say this ranks top of the many places I visited in Harbin.
