It was an awesome experience staying on the lake. The 3 day trip is a lot more pricey but we're glad we decided on the 3 days instead of 2 days which we had initially planned. We went caving, relaxed, swam from our front deck, saw gibbons, horn bills, monkeys, eagles etc. You our tour guide was great, fun and very informative. My partner had a sport knee injury just before we left for our trip and You was very patient and really took care of his needs. and was very attentive in ensuring he was comfortable the whole trip. The two day tour consist of the drive from Khao Sok to the Rachaprapha Dam, then approx. 1,5 hr ride on the long boat to the rafhouses, lunch and then exploration of the nearby cave. Overnight in the rafthouse, in the morning departure after the breakfast, hike to the viewpoint and then trip back to Khao Sok. We have decided to stay one extra day and be in charge of our program, this gave us freedom to explore the nearby area on the kayaks, that are provided free of charge by the rafthouses, then we were able to negotiate a boat ride with the kayaks to the more remote area and kayak there at our leisure.
