Approximately 34 kilometers northwest of Antalya lies Termessos and the beautiful Güllük Dagi National Park. The ancient Psidian city is built on a mountain platform, surrounded by pine woods and an abundance of rare plants. It’s one of the best preserved historical sites of Turkey and, due to its isolated location, an oasis of calm and tranquility.

The historical site of Perge, 18 kilometers east of Turkey, holds the vast remains of what was once the most propserous city of the ancient world. Enter by passing through the arch of the Roman Gate to be greeted by an amphitheater, the Hellenistic Gate (quite well preserved) and richly decorated remains of the city wall and much more.

The Düden Waterfalls are actually two separate natural attractions within the City of Antalya. The Upper Düden Waterfalls are a series of small cascades in a tranquil municipal park and the Lower Düden Waterfall is a spectacular cascade that occurs as the Düden River spills off the Antalya City cliffs into the sea. When visiting the upper falls within the park, don't miss climbing down a spiral staircase that leads into a cave behind the waterfalls. The experience affords fabulous views through a curtain of falling water.

A historical site not to be missed. Just off Atatürk Boulevard you’ll see the impressive three double arches of the gates, which were erected in 130 to celebrate the visit of Emperor Hadrian. Legend has it that in ancient times, the queen of Sheba passed through the middle arch on her way to Aspensos and spent a happy night with King Salomon. With the exception of the columns, the arch is made from white marble and is richly decorated.

The vast area contains scaled-down reproductions of famous Turkish architecture, including a mini Hagia-Sophia and Istanbul’s fabulous Dolmabahce Palace. West of Antalya proper, at the end of the tramway line, stretch miles of shingle beach known as Koyaalti. The sand is grayish but quite fine with many restaurants and cafes. The backdrop of the Taurus mountains and the cliffs on either end form a breathtaking scene for a day of swimming and sunbathing.

"the most amzing place in antalya I spend 3 dayes in this park and never got bored very close to old city kaleici , gate and tower .. every one must visit this place ,,,,,,,,,"
"Visited on a very hot Sunday afternoon - lots to see and an opportunity to walk in the spa waters at the Pamukkale site. Good signposting and shop/museum. Take bottled water and wear comfortable shoes!"
"Enjoyed several hours here. Lovely to walk around finding more and more ruined buildings as you go. With the spectacular mountain views it wasvone of the most enjoyable ruins to visit along the coast. Wear sensible shoes and realize that it will take you at least 20 to 30 minutes to walk up steep..." rocky path to the ruins and half an hour from the gates by car to get to the path. Take note of closing time once you get to the gates if you come late in the day. Best to arrive before tour buses. There was only one bus when we visited in the late afternoon with what seemed to be international students so once at the site we could spread out once we got to the ruins.
