From far away, what appeared to be a stairway up a steep cliff turned out to be the 100-year-old elevator that was built by a local banker in order to easily reach his home on the cliff. For $1.50/person ($3 round trip), you ..."can ride the elevator and marvel at its engineering. My husband and I were the only ones who rode up at 8 a.m. when the tram opened.
