"We have been members for a number of years. It is a beautiful church in a lovely old neighborhood that is very vibrant. It is an historical area only minutes from the French Quarter in New Orleans. Mass is 7:30, 9:30 and 11:30 on Sundays. The church was designed by a German architect that was well ..."known in New Orleans. Old Gretna was settled by Germans and has a German Cultural Center. In the surrounding area, there are several good restaurants, a Saturday farmers market and it is only 6 blocks from the river where you can sit and watch the ships pass or ride a bike on the levee between the Gretna Ferry landing and the Algiers Ferry landing on The Point. Very interesting area historical area and beautiful church where you can be welcomed and enjoy a lovely mass.
