"Turquoise Bay is one of many bays and beaches of the Cape Range National Park. $11 entry for the day or cheaper long term options.
This is a great spot, there's the bay itself to snorkel around in and the famous drift around the corner. In the middle is the current straight out to see... So stay..." where you are supposed to. There are lots of signs and the visitor center is helpful.
The snorkelling is good and we saw a turtle in the bay. There are better sites though... Oyster stacks was my favourite.

"We were picked up on time from our hotel and taken to the boat. The staff on the boat were very friendly and keen. The boat was of a good size and well maintained. We snorkled at the first site and saw a good selection of fish. Then the boat was informed by a spotter plane of a whaleshark and we wer..."e off. Only ten people were allowed in at any one time and it was rather hectic following our guide and keeping out of the way of the whaleshark. Then it was back on the boat as it followed the whalesharks and jump back in. This continued for quite a while and then we had a break for lunch which was very plentiful and tasty. We saw three different whalesharks and it was great. Well worth the trip.

"The walk at Yardie Creek gorge should be part of everyone's trip to the Cape Range NP
It's a sealed road right the way to the car park. From there it's about a 1 km walk to the very end and great views of the gorge. There are a few little rock scrambles which makes it good fun. An average level o..."f fitness is required, I saw some oldies doing it, they struggled, but they did it.
Plenty of animals knocking around. We saw a few kangaroos. If your lucky you might catch a glimpse of the rare black footed wallaby.
If you're travelling into the park for the day I'd make this your first stop in the morning before it gets too hot. Then work your way back out the park stopping for snorkels along the way!
