"Wow! What a great jet boat ride on the Snake River! Hells Canyon Adventures operates its tours from Hells Canyon Dam through the "wild" part of the river. Mark, the captain and owner, gave us a terrific tour with lots of interesting information about the river and the people who have lived and worke..."d in Hells Canyon. The boat was very comfortable and in excellent condition. Mark really knew the river and we all felt totally safe with him in control of the boat. His assistant, Bill, was very helpful and so thoughtful about asking if he could take photos of each passenger at various photo opportunities. The Hells Canyon scenery was majestic and we saw bald eagles and big horn sheep very near the banks of the river. Going over the class four rapids in a jet boat was great fun. We got to go farther down river than the usual all-day Kirkwood tour, as Hells Canyon Adventures is also a shuttle service on the river and had to pick up ten rafters at Pittsburg Landing to return them to Hells Can...

"Truly an unbelievable adventure! We took the Overnighter trip down to Clarkston, 120 miles one way and back again. Went through class 3, 4 and 5 rapids. Stayed at the Red Lion Hotel in Lewiston over night before our return trip back home. They fed us really well...great lunches. We saw all kind..."s of local animals; Mule Deer, Golden Eagles, Black bears, Big Horn Sheep. Visited famous landmarks, saw pictographs. There was so much to take in that it was almost an overload of excitement and adventure. We had a professional photographer on board with us during the entire trip and she took 1,100 photos. Our captain, Mark was an expert on all the local info and history. He was laid back and funny...he knew exactly how to work the rapids. I would highly recommend this trip, but only for older teenagers and adults. It's a very long, long boat ride... We would consider doing this trip again. Really Kool!

"Wife and I did the 6 hour Kirkwood trip mid-August. The logistics were very smooth, easy to book, a very detailed email followed that explained what was to be provided and what you should bring and hot to get to this rugged and remote part of the state.
I would recommend the Kirkwood tour over th..."e shorter, 2 hour tours because the short ones don't shoot very many rapids and they don't include a tasty lunch.
Our guide/driver, Bruce, was a very calm and experienced pro, he shared tons of interesting stories about Hell's Canyon.
I would highly recommend this tour!
