It isn't something that we had done before and wanted to try different things. The drive is beautiful. It is count..."ry and rural...I loved every minute of it. The small winery is just as cute as can be. Super friendly staff who are very knowledgeable. It is a self guide tour, which I loved because I wasn't rushed or hurried I could take my time. We were alone when we first got there, but when we were done with the tour it was quite busy. We sampled 4 different wines. I learned that I am not a red wine, but love whites. Their muscat canelli and muscat canelli reserve (only sold at the winery) were amazing! We ended up leaving with 4 bottles, which may seem like a small amount, but I have never bought a bottle of wine before :) I would love to go back and enjoy more wines. It was a great experience. The smallest operation we saw, where you can help yourself to a self-guided tour of the work rooms of the winery, view the stainless steel fermentation vessels and the oak barrels, and then sample site made wines. (Other bigger places only give tours on Saturdays.) Our guide was very informative about the processes (he actually works in the bottling process, and I suspect many other steps!). You get a nice enough sized tasting "sample" to get a real sense of the products. " More >
