Eden Mills is a micro climate snow belt, so there will almost always be more snow there than anywhere else. In fact, being March, we saw very little snow on the way to Eden and were getting a bit nervous. But as we drove up to the ED site, sure enough, an extra foot of snow awaited us and the dogs. The road to ED is quite challenging. For those of you familiar with VT, many of the side roads are a greyish clay substance that can be very slippery when wet. The road to ED is almost certainly impassable for non 4x4's in winter with snow on the road as there are some really steep hills. The staff was superb very knowledgeable, even a younger boy was very nice and helped us with harnessing the dogs and even knew a bunch regarding dogsledding. The owner is kind and sincere, very enthusiastic about his job and treats his 32 dogs very well. We did the Beta tour it allowed us the opportunity to ride together in a sled with the owner mushing. He provided us with warm blankets for the 45 minute ride. We then had the opportunity to feed the dogs and give them treats.
