"If you're in the Charlottesville area and you love beautifully crafted wines and intelligent conversation about wine, make it a point to visit. The winery is roughly a half-hour south of the city, and well worth the trip down Route 29. The tasting room is simple, which suits us fine, because the win..."e is the star here. You will not come away disappointed.

"We were traveling Route 29- doing some leaf peeping--came along Lovingston Winery.
Small vinyard, small tasting area, right were the wines are "made". We tasted some lovely, fragrant Reds, Merlots, etc.
Try the 2006 Reserve Merlot--nice nose, good body &nice finish.
Beautiful area to see wh..."en the leaves change.
