What travellers are saying
- Lena JNyköping, Sweden92 contributionsWonderful view of the sunset after a quick sprint to avoid the waves on the narrow path leading to the site. Beautiful siteWritten 20 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- louisephogan5 contributionsJust loved Naxos. So friendly, laid back, hospitable and welcoming. This island has everything you could want for a relaxing holiday. Make sure you go before the season ends if you want to visit the nearby islands - we missed by a couple of days !!!Written 12 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - eagertraveller123UK1,277 contributionsVery nice Venetian style castle, worth the climb (also a lovely set of churches of various denominations and little meandering streets and archways surround it).Written 10 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Nick and Stella DToronto, Canada94 contributionsThis Island Naxos is our favor Because it Combines Best Food, Night Pleasant walks along the Port, Very Relaxing Strolls in Town, A Lot of Stores to View and Buy. The Saint-George beach is the Safest beach for Small Children. There are Other Beaches that Gather Teens and Young Adults with Deeper Cool waters and more fun. The Best Asset of This Island are, Excellent Food and Service as well as the People working in Hospitality Section. Pricewise I will Say Is Affordable Comparing with Other more Popular Islands. Still be Aware, Search A Lot Before Hotel Booking. Some Hotels Post High Prices.Written 6 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - elchacoHouston, TX843 contributionsWe paid a quick visit to this museum one afternoon. The museum is nothing big or fancy, but it does have a lot of pretty cool things in it. What made it more interesting to me was the fact that there were some artifacts there that were recovered from Zeus's Childhood Cave, which we had hiked to the day before. We also walked around the building (not sure if it's considered part of the museum) and saw some of the rooms and furniture from when the castle was in use. The whole area, including the museum is worth a visit.Written 3 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - YasLas Vegas, NV424 contributionsBeautiful beach, not a very direct access from the road, a bit private and not too crowded, waves can get a bit high but water is nice. Sunset is a very nice experience. Not serviced but there is a restaurant Faros 5 min driving from the beachWritten 1 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - corinne292Geneva, Switzerland143 contributionsSo sorry hotels do not advertise about current events high in that Kastro more precisely... Just passing by a leaflet, we were there for the last season event, i.e. a BOUZOUKI evening (October 25, 2019), which was MORE THAN AN EVENING : friendly welcome with drinks and smiles preceding a wonderful concert with two exceptional musicians (bouzouki and guitar), introducing rebetiko,,smyrneiko, laĂŻko. Great dancing demonstrations, including sirtaki and a subtle, reserved (indeed, indeed) belly dance. The whole public felt as family. A MUST-DO in 2020 !Written 2 November 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- RazorfishLittle Rock, AR3,866 contributionsThe Cathedral is located across from Grotta Beach in Naxos. It is a distinctive whitewashed building. We did not go inside, although the photos on TripAdvisor are stunning.Written 8 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - john s1 contributionWe couldn't believe that natural stones with different color and lines in them could become so nice sculptures! This artist has created a unique art that is really amazing and worths to be seen by anyone! We would expect an excibition like this to be in a much bigger city! It was a great experience and we strongly suggest it!Written 13 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - AttilaahunBudapest, Hungary144 contributionsInteresting sculptures and pictures that can be bought. Unfortunately, terribly over priced. This, of course, suits the image of Naxos.Written 25 June 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
