There's a 0.5m light gravel path that rounds around the outside - good for running or a casual stroll. If you sit on the benches round the edge tho and it's dry, the runners will (accidentally, can't be helped) raise a bit of a dust cloud so be warned. With the other water features dotted around, and shade under the trees if you want it, I managed to lose nearly 5 hours sat in the park that first Sunday, and I've been back a couple of times since for the gorgeous warm evenings since.
