  "Old Faithful is the most 'famous' geyser in Yellowstone, but it is not the most spectacular. This review covers the Old Faithful Geyser as well as the other Geysers in the area. Certainly make sure that you see Old Faithful erupt (every 90 mins +/- 10 mins). Times are posted in the visitor cent..."re right infront of the geyser. My advice is to plan your day/visit around other geysers in this basin. Grand Geyser is a large fountain geyser and is well worth the wait. Nearby Turban Geyser erupting along with waves forming in grand's pool are a sign of an imminent eruption. There is a 3 hour window for this geyser. Riverside Geyser is stunning as it erupts over the river that curves in front if you. Look out for the rainbow if the sun is out. The geyser goes off only every 6 hours or so. Look out for water spilling per the edge of the crater pool as a sign an eruption is close. If you are up for a walk, make sure you go and see Black Sand Pool. You can literally feel the... " More >
• Grand Prismatic Spring
  "Beautiful Colours!!"
  "This review is for the Midway Geyser Basin which includes the Grand Prismatic Spring. First, cross the river and take in the wonderful views up towards the geysers. There is a slight incline to walk to the first geyser. Excelsior Geyser is on your left. Beautiful clear blue pool producing lots..." of steam. If you catch it at the right time you can get enveloped in steam as it is blown through the valley, which is a great experience. Taking the boardwalk further takes you to the Grand Prismatic Spring. Sadly, unless you are around 7 feet tall, you will not be able to get the postcard style view you will see in the literature. You glimpse the stunning colours of the spring instead. There is a trail you can take to get a better view, but sadly this was closed for bear management when we visited. If you can cope with the climb, certainly try this walk for better views. • Mammoth Hot Springs

  "This review is for Mammoth Hot Springs, including the upper terrace drive. The lower terraces are accessed using boarded walkways. Some have steep inclines. Purchase a $0.50 guide as this shows where the steep inclines are and you can avoid them as much as you can if needed. As others have stated...", this area is not the most spectacular in the park, but attractive none the less. More impressive is the upper terrace drive. Stop at the first at park on the drive and stroll around to get the best views. There is no shade on the walks, so take plenty if liquid and a hat to cover up. Worth a visit.
