Wanaka Helicopters offers a variety of high standard flights around Lake Wanaka, into the National Parks and surrounding areas such as Mount Aspiring, and to spectacular Milford Sound. All scenic flights include remote alpine landings and walk arounds. We operate a variety of different sized helicopters, which means that no minimum passenger numbers apply to our flights. We can cater for all number combinations. Wanaka Helicopters also offers a product called Heli-Adventures, which includes soft adventure type activities for the more adventurous, such as mountain biking, fishing, hiking and jet boating. We also offer to opportunity to fly yourself in a one off training flight called our 'Mission Possible'. Not only are we a scenic flight operator, we are a training school, training pilots to gain their private helicopter license, as well as their commercial helicopter license. All our instructors are highly professional and safe pilots and flight instructors.

"Who hasn't dreamt as a child of roaming through a labyrinth struggling to find the right path? This dream comes true in this really puzzling world near Wanaka. It is really fun and challenging to visit all four towers in the right order and will keep you occupied for the better part of two hours. In..." the indoor exhibit friends of optical illusions find weird rooms and sculptures playing tricks on your mind.
If you are passing by Wanaka and weather permits it this is probably a must. Good family fun, quite unique but not too exciting.

"Great place to spend some time. Arrived early so that we could sit in the morris minor car. The other seats would have been good too as they looked super comfy. The popcorn and nachos were very yummy but the best thing of all was the massive choc chip cookie baked fresh and warm during intermission...." I'm not normally a cinema fan but if this was the local, I would be more of a fan.

"The maze and most of the rooms were average but I really enjoyed the tilted room right at the end where you feel like you are walking crooked. Does make you feel a little bit sick after a while (similar to motion sickness) but still fun. Had to try and get my mind around how a ball could go up hill...." Would probably be more fun if you are with kids.
