This place is a hidden gem. For only 5 euros a couple you get a personal tour of the oldest house in Skiathos Town, the history and artifacts inside are amazing. Lovely lady showed us around, it was a real step into the past.

Beautuful view of the town! If you go from the ferry port there are not that many steps. I was up in 5 min (and I'm 62). Serene environment. Definitely worth it!

This is my second review of this establishment, and yet it still offers great jewellery. I visit here whenever in Skiathos. The shop is full of nice items of pottery and bespoke jewellery. The jewellery is the produce of various artists. It is of good quality, and the value fits a variety of different costs.
There are many different styles and designs available for different tastes. Areti (the owner) is helpful and has a good eye for detail and can provide you with advice on what to look at and buy, but is not intrusive and allows the customer to look around. It is also a good place for a special occasion.

    Well worth a visit,

    Debbie.

Beach is quiet with sand. Not the nicest of beaches but not unpleasant either. Main road is above so not super peaceful. The beach bar gets a 5* from us for friendly service with a smile. Limited menu but lovely place to hang in the morning and eat lunch.

Water sports and boat hire from Stefanos also excellent option here. There’s another taverna 100m down beach but we didn’t make it there.

The church is very pretty inside with icons all over.

There's a very kind English speaking lady standing by a desk with the votive candles who is very informative if you ask about the church and customs. The day I visited some Greek ladies were visiting as well and kissing the icons over and over (I didn't do that...). You can buy (by donation) votive candles and light them up. A nice experience.

    Visit recommended.

Such a serene and beautiful place with great views over the bay.
The headstones are so ornate, and you can tell that families take great care of them.
However, the overall tidiness is quite poor, with dead plants and old plant pots lying around.
Shame.... otherwise such a beautiful place.

Lovely shady place to have a coffee and watch the ferries come and go, watch the sunbathers get soaked by the waves and watch the planes land at Skiathos airport. Service is great and although a limited menu , we enjoyed our lunch of chicken and bacon tortilla and halloumi, sun dried tomatoes in pitta bread

a wonderful small but excellent museum giving insights into the life and work of Zisis Oikonomou, a distinguished Greek poet of the modern era who lived and worked in Skiathos. Highly recommended to anyone wishing to incorporate some cultural programme on his or her visit to the island. The given information is available in 9 different languages, making it accesible to an international audience :)

Opening hours are 20:00-24:00 so this is an evening activity!

Lady was very friendly and welcomed us in. The gallery is very small downstairs with a slightly larger space upstairs. There are few pieces but they are interesting to look at!

    It's worth popping in!

One of the best things for me when on holiday is discovering little gems.
And Gallery Varsakis is one such place. A lovely spot to people watch, Quirky and most importantly very friendly owners and lovely wine.
    Would recommend !

If you are looking for somewhere to watch sport this is the place! Great atmosphere and really friendly staff. If there is a sporting event you would like to watch the staff will do their best to accommodate you. Might be worth going in the day before to let them know what you would like to see. Will definitely go back there when we return to Skiathos.
