"Every Filipino knows about this bridge and they all get pogi points by saying they've seen it. It really is very nice. If you're in Tacloban you can take a Basey (that's in nearby Samar) jeepney and when you cross the bridge on the Samar side, yell "para!" and get out. Then you can walk back over th..."e bridge to the Leyte side. Take your camera and and enjoy the view and the walk. Then on the Leyte side you can then take another jeepney back into Tacloban.

"It wasn't my first time to visit San Juanico Bridge but it was over 20 years ago that it first impressed me. It still does. Great view. You can't stop to take photos though. Head to the foot of the bridge on the Samar side, ask permission from the police and walk for a great shot."
