Points of Interest

1. Queen's Garden Trailhead Sign

This is where the hike starts! Pass by the informational sign on your left about the human impact in the canyon, then read the info on the sign on your right to find out you have 0.8 mile to go and 320 ft. of decent until you reach the Queen. Proper footwear is important if it is muddy or snow covered, but it really is an easy trail that you can... More

2. Snow On The Shady Side

The trail is snowy in the early Spring. The snow catches the morning light and reflects golden light.

3. A Beautiful Turn

If you are early enough getting onto the trail, the orange glow from the sunrise lights up the contours of the trail in a magical way. Breath in the fresh air and enjoy the morning light as you hike down this wonderful trail.

4. A View Into Queen's Garden From the Top

From here you get a wonderful view of Queen's Garden if you climb off trail on your right and up to the top of a small hill.

The video below shows only the sights and sounds of the trail, no music or narration.

5. The Horse Trail

This is a horse trail that starts at the top (you may have smelled some evidence on your way down) and now splits off here and goes I don't know where. This is a great place to branch off of the trail a bit and get out to a point where you have a 360 degree view. If you came down the trail before sunrise, this is where you want to be when the... 6. A Hoodoo

Water, ice, and wind then eroded the cracks leaving tall spires called hoodoos in the thousands all throughout Bryce Canyon.

7. In The Garden

This is the beginning of Queen's Garden, an amazing array of hoodoos that you can walk through in amazement.

8. A Hole In The Wall

Here in the garden, there is a little hole in the wall where you can see the sun through if you are in the right place at the right time.

Here is our destination: The Queen Victoria Hoodoo. Called this because it looks like The Queen on her throne. I think the little hoodoo on her right looks like a little dog also.
