Points of Interest

1. Start Here

Trail starts immediately with difficult descent down staircase of ledges and rock obstacles. At bottom, you cross creek and begin difficult climb.

2. Obstacle called the Z-Turn

Climb large ledges at difficult Z-Turn.

3. Side Trip to Right

Right is out-and-back side trip to great views of Colorado River. On the other side of river you can see Poison Spider Mesa Trail (available as an eGuide from FunTreks).

4. Overlook

Great lunch spot with views of Poison Spider Mesa Trail on other side of Colorado River. Turn around here and return to main trail.

5. Scary Spot

As you follow a narrow shelf road along a cliff edge, you drop down a scary rock ledge. It used to be much worse. Maintenance was done on the road in recent years and this spot was improved. Looking west, the dramatic rock mesa is called Jackson Hole.

6. Tippy Ledge

Watch out here, a narrow tippy ledge can quickly cause a rollover if you're not careful.

7. End of Trail

Trail ends near cliff edge. Park and walk to some of the most dramatic views you'll ever see. Watch kids and dogs, there are no guard rails.
