We stopped here overnight before exploring Hadrians wall. Les, the owner, rang to confirm our booking and also offered to cook an evening meal if we wanted for our arrival. There was off road parking and it is easily reachable with great views and access to the Hadrian's Wall route. On arrival we were made to feel very welcome and... More

Myself and my partner chose to stay here as we had a "smart box" voucher. We wanted somewhere quiet and peaceful. Upon arrival Les was very welcoming and offered us drinks. The room was cold at first but soon warmed up. The room was small but that was to be expected as the old repeater station is small anyway. The... More

After the long grueling fourth day of our backpacking fundraiser across Hadrian's Wall, stopping at the Old Repeater Station was heaven on earth! Les is a legend. He let us camp in his front yard and greeted us at the door with tea and "almost homemade" cake. Les has an amazing set up going on here. The lounge is full... More

We have travelled passed the Old Repeater Station many times on the way to visit family further North. This was out first stop here, and what a delight it was. Les was most welcoming to us and knowledgeable about the region. The breakfast was delicious. This is a great place to stay when exploring Hadrian's Wall or other parts of... More

The best accommodation on our trip: Les was really helpful and flexible from the outset, and made our stay easy and comfortable. The room was fantastic - quiet, warm, and perfect balance between privacy and social communal area. After a long day walking Hadrian's wall we were supplied with beers, an amazing meal and good company. The building is also... More

Les was a great host who ensured I was looked after from even before I arrived.... After missing the place and the neighbour driving me back, I had a beautiful meal watched some tv over a hot tea and learnt some local knowledge. In the morning I was given a map to borrow (Les it's in the post!!) as Les... More

We stayed here for a night away as we received a voucher as a wedding gift. Les was very welcoming when we arrived and was an excellent host throughout, always asking if there was anything we needed. The room was basic but very clean and comfortable (we were disappointed to have been given a twin rather than a double but... More
