went today with friend and her kids for bar lunch, food was ok although one veggie dish only which was just pasta and tomato sauce and one fish dish if you don't like meat. food was ok for 2 courses for a Tenner mind you, waitress could not have been nicer, lovely lady. 3 of the 4 of us got... I am genuinely sorry for your disappointing experience. In the main Castlecary House Hotel is consistently praised for the warmth of its staff and their friendly and positive approach to guests, but clearly there are also rare moments when members of our team are not providing the service they are known for. It is my aim to readdress service through... More

We went as a family to the Poacher's for a Sunday lunch. The food was terrific and the waiting staff could not do enough to help, they were wonderful. The lady who was running the bar however was not so friendly, more hostile than anything else. I complained about the cola as it was a cheap brand and flat before... More

Where do i start, my husband and i checked in as normal. The woman was a little snooty and dry with us but we had been in the car for 6 hours so never looked our best and put her attitude down to that. We struggled with 2 massive overfilled cases to the first floor of the main building. On... More

Another unfortunate example of TripAdvisor's failure to acknowledge the distinction between constructive feedback and a publicised attempt at confrontation. Not only are your comments wholly distasteful, inaccurate and bordering on the imaginary, the undoing of your remarks can be found in the dozens of reviews left on TripAdvisor praising the professionalism, courteous conduct and unbridled enthusiasm of our team to... Just North of Glasgow, Cumbernauld is a small town/village. I stayed for 2 nights while attending a family wedding in the area. I was impressed with the accommodation, very good sized room, very clean with a good shower and a comfortable bed. It was a B&B arrangement with evening meals available if required. The first night I ate in one... More

We were so looking forward to our overnight stay with friends, so disappointed, room 244 very basic, patio door no key! no other window, only plus great shower. Evening meal dreadful, and breakfast just as bad, eggs undercooked, waitress unfriendly. On checking out Karen was friendly and apologised on behalf of the hotel.

My husband and I went on an overnight stay here and had a really nice time. The hotel was very clean and we both enjoyed our meal and breakfast. The staff were all very friendly and the prices in the bar very reasonable. Would definitely return and recommend to others.
