Visited the restaurant on 9th May 2013. We were a party of eleven. We waited over an hour after ordering for our food to arrive. When it did nearly all of the meals were overcooked. One steak ordered medium rare was very well done and not fit to it and we refused to pay for it as it would have... More

The food is really nice and always busy woth people eating which is a good sign when you walk into pubs these days, the amount of empty ones you go into makes you walk out again sadly. The service is good, really nice staff and it's a reasonable price. Would Definately recommend.

A very nice lunch during a busy period. Would have been helpful to know the process to order food as it wasn't clear it was waitress service, but not to pay. Ordered chicken with bacon and cheese. Very nice lunch.

This is my treat after a long drive, we visit family/holiday in the north/midlands a number of times a year. The Waterloo is only about 80 miles from home but we have a overnight stop as an ending to our trips. It means that when we get home we are rested and not tired from the long drive. This time... We stayed here for one night on our way to Minehead. Really easy to find, and a very warm welcome once we arrived. Our room was basic but comfortable and we enjoyed a meal during the evening. It was very busy but didn't seem over crowded. As we were leaving before breakfast the following morning, my husband asked if the... More

We had a family lunch here as it is handy being just off the M5. Friendly waitresses and bar staff, large menu and reasonably priced wine, the South African Cabernet very mellow and only £12.95 a bottle. I had the pork shank which was excellent, the roast lunches perhaps not so good. We had to wait quite a time for... More

I stayed here as I was working in Willand, the food is good quality & always well cooked, the staff are very helpful & friendly, they havehand pulled beer which is great. It is just off the M5 at Junction 27 Although more expensive than the travelodgewhich is 300 yards down the road it is far better & you can... More

We met a family member here for lunch. As with anywhere new, your never sure what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised, food was hot and not hurried, good tasting and we'll seasoned. Recommend the Pork Shank, I couldn't taste the redcurrant, but I would not hesitate to ask for it again... Very tender! (we only stopped at the restaurant,please... More

We have used this place a number of times as we find it a very convenient location for meeting up with family and friends, just 300 yards off the M5 junction 27. The food was very good and the menu suited our party from our three year old grand daughter to my 91 year old uncle. The meals are reasonably... More

A stopover that's just off the motorway yet in a quiet country location that ensures you can decent night sleep and good pub food all at a really good price compared to a motorway hotel. The room was very spacious, clean, warm, equipped with a large shower not a bath, came complete with a settee and desk so you can... More
