I stumbled on the Abercrave Inn at the end of a long, wet day riding on my motorbike. I enjoyed the stay on the whole as the location is stunning and the standard of the rooms and food were very good. The room I stayed in was directly above the bar and there was some music playing when I went... More

Had forgotten how nice this place was - very welcoming, courteous staff, and lovely interior - and very nice food. Steaks particularly good. It's a bit away from the main Swansea to Brecon road (I think Abercarave has been bypassed) but one of the best pub restaurants in the area. Worth a visit.

We've been here previously and enjoyed the food so have frequently recommended it to others. This time we went with a family group of 7 for Sunday lunch. Drinks and first course arrived promptly and were v. good, but there was a long wait for the main course. We all stuck to the Sunday lunch menu. Several of us ordered... More

This is a really good place to stay if you are exploring the Brecons. The pub is very warm and cosy in the winter and very convenient for travelling to the western end of the Beacons. The rooms are good, either on the other side of the road, or above the main building. The evening menu is excellent, with an... More

Having stayed here twice now, I’m already looking forward to returning. The accommodation in a clean and comfortable 3 star, but the staff and food is much higher, whether it is in the bar area, at the restaurant or Breakfast in the morning. A great selection of alcoholic drinks with a large selection of Scotch Whiskeys.

The next time you are headed towards Brecon Beacons be sure to stop over the Abercrave for a night, or even for a meal if you've no time... The food is locally sourced, the atmosphere is amazing and the locals more than welcoming. The rooms are spacious and VERY clean. My room had a magnificent view of the country side,... More

I am a regular visitor to the Abercrave Inn and always look forward to my stay there. The rooms are cosy and comfortable and the staff are always very friendly and welcoming, while at the same time, most professional. I think we have sampled all of the bedrooms by now, and our preference lies with the rooms located across the... More
