We stayed in a cottage for a week. Nice place, nice clean and big bedroom. Staff are very friendly and very helpful. However we had one very bad experience with the "Indian looking" owner/manager...? The set up of Bamburi is great if you want a cheaper option to Mombasa without having to stay in a backpacker type set up. The area is pretty shabby as you drive into the alley, with men sitting and stirring. Resort touches the beach and the rooms are average. Went there and walked out after checking the rooms, doesn't give a very comfortable feel. Noisy at night as walls are not solid. Tight stair case goes up to the floors. Not a bad location... More

We were travelling with our friend, so we were lucky to get two rooms with shared terrace and kitchen. The beds were massive, made of old massive trees...and the bathroom was great, just standard shower but how they have amde it just captivates people. One of my friends who is quite regular to this resort suggested me to stay here and I must admit that this place is really very good. Good view of the sea from rooms and swimming pool. Food and service is also very good. Good place for vegetarians. More
