We booked the Almirante on a special offer of 22.5 Euros for room only. The Hotel itself is fine. Our room was spotlessly clean and with comfortable beds. We could see the sea (about 100 metres away) too from the edge of our balcony. The bar and restaurant have really comfy chairs. The pool area looked very nice too. We... More

We live about 80kms north of Alicante and qwere planning a shopping trip to the city. We saw a special offer at the Almirante for a double room for 23euros and booked it straight away. The hotel is by the beach outside the city but there is a very efficient tram service which stops almost outside the hotel. The hotel... More

Very decent rooms for the price we paid, everything clean and comfy. The location is perfect for a quiet holiday - 2 min from the wide long beach, 15 min by tram from Alicante city center, no nightlife around. The area around the hotel and the swimming pool is very well looked after and seems cosy. The breakfast was ok,... More

Great location on a beachfront strip, delicious restaurants nearby, and great value. We're glad we chose San Juan over Alicante town (which is about 15 mins away by train or bus) as the beach is more beautiful and it seems to have a more laid-back vibe. Any restaurant we chose along the beach strip was fantastic, cheap, and offered generous... More

We've been coming here since the last 4 years almost once every year. The hotel is very clean, nr. 1 spot on the beach (you just need to cross the boulevard) and last but not least. the tram which will take you to Alicante city stops in front of this hotel. We therefore never need a car. The employees at... More

My friend and I went last weekend for a girlie 3 days break. We chose the hotel as it had access to a brilliant beach for the daytime and was a taxi ride into Alicante for the nightlife. Alicante town was buzzing on Saturday night and quieter on Sunday night which allowed us to have 2 types of evenings. The... More

All I can say is that I would not stay at this hotel even for free. I stayed in 7 hotels during my stay in Spain (in various locations) and for similar prices as this one. This was the worst hotel. First the room was disgusting, the beds small and uncomfortable and honestly I felt scared to sleep on it.... More

We stayed at the Almirante overnight on our way back to Spain after holidaying in Italy. The intention was to get up in the morning, have breakfast and have a look round for the day. These plans were dashed when we arrived about 2pm as we realised that there was precious little to do there! The hotel looks a bit... More

The beach here is gorgeous - although v. crowded. The hotel is just 100 metres from the beach and had a great pool. However it is very old fashioned and musty. The room we had was almost a bit creepy! However it is still very clean. Breakfast was included in our rate but was literally pieces of bread with olive... More

Hotel Almirante supplied good, clean three star accomodation at a very reasonable price, 240 euros for two people for four nights, and direct access to Playa San Juan. The hotel room was spanish style, slightly old fashioned and simple, but very clean and comfortable. Balcony was an excellent size and got the afternoon and evening sun. Bathroom was fairly new...
